This is a supplementary detail set, not a model. It contains four 3D-printed resin medium-range AIM-7F Sparrow III missiles in the low-visibility (low-vis) form in 1:48 scale. The missiles suit the armament of a number of Western fighters, for example the F-4, F-5, F-14, F-15, F-16 and F-18 types.
The AIM-7 Sparrow was an American medium-range air-to-air missile with semi-active radar homing. The AIM-7F version of the 1970s brought new guidance and a longer reach and became the standard armament of Western fighters of the Cold War. The low-vis marking corresponds to the later low-visibility camouflage schemes.
Separate the missiles from the print supports, clean them up and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting; the fine stabilizers and fins are delicate, so work with them carefully.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
