This set is NOT an aircraft model but a resin detail accessory intended for modern fighter models in 1:48 scale. It contains four AIM-9P Sidewinder short-range air-to-air missiles with finely rendered canards, fins and seeker head. Thanks to the P variant it suits above all types used in the Cold War era.
Missiles from injection-molded plastic kits tend to be coarser and to carry a mold seam across fine surfaces. Cast resin missiles have sharper leading edges on the fins and a more faithful shape, so the underwing armament looks more realistic. The set is a universal armament accessory and suits a range of fighters that carried the Sidewinder.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; sand with respiratory protection. Apply a primer before painting. Training and live versions differ in the color of the head and in their markings, so check the scheme of the particular deployment.
This is a supplementary armament set, not a complete kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the aircraft model are not included in the package.
