Eduard 1:48 Albacore bomb racks are a detail set of photo-etched parts for a faithful rendering of the bomb racks on models of the Fairey Albacore torpedo biplane in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail accessory, not the model itself. The set holds photo-etched parts for building faithful underwing carriers and bomb racks. It is intended for models of the British torpedo and bomber biplane Fairey Albacore in 1:48 scale and replaces the simplified plastic racks with a finer rendering in metal.
Photo-etched metal makes it possible to render the thin sections and pierced shapes of the racks, which cannot be reproduced faithfully in injection-molded plastic. The result looks delicate and true to scale and visibly raises the level of the stores on the model.
Separate the parts from the fret, clean up the edges and make the bends you need on a bending tool or with tweezers over a sharp edge. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) in small amounts. Before painting, apply a metal primer, then the color matching the underside of the wing; bring out the weathering with a wash.
This is an accessory for a model. The kit itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
