Aires Ar 196A-5 — resin cockpit (1:48). A detail resin set of the cockpit interior for a plastic kit of the German shipboard reconnaissance floatplane.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from Aires for 1:48 scale. This is not an airplane model but an aftermarket accessory for the A-5 version. It replaces the box cockpit interior with a faithfully cast resin tub with instrument panels, seats and side walls, usually complemented by fine photo-etched parts and an instrument decal.
The Arado Ar 196 was a German shipboard reconnaissance floatplane of the Second World War period. The A-5 version was a later production form with detail changes to the equipment compared with the earlier batches.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue. Paint the interior before the fuselage is closed and pick it out with a wash and a dry brush. Check that it is dimensionally compatible with the chosen kit.
The plastic kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
