1:48 Avro Lancaster B Mk.III Dambuster in the Zoom form is a smaller Eduard photo-etched set concentrated on the pilot's compartment of the bomber. It is an accessory for a plastic model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set of brass sheet in 1:48 scale from the Czech brand Eduard, belonging to the smaller Zoom line. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory for a plastic kit of the Lancaster already purchased. Against the full photo-etched sets that the brand offers for the individual parts of the airframe of the same machine, Zoom is a narrower choice concentrated on the pilot's compartment, that is on the place that is best visible under the extensive glazing.
The Avro Lancaster was the main British night bomber of the Second World War, with four Rolls-Royce Merlin engines and a crew of seven. The machines known as Dambusters belonged to No. 617 Squadron RAF, which in May 1943 attacked the German dams in the Ruhr with Barnes Wallis's bouncing bomb. Because of the unusual load these Lancasters went through a number of modifications, and to this day they are among the most often built versions of the type.
The smaller extent of the set suits a first acquaintance with the technique as well. Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, make the bends along the marked grooves and finish the edge against a steel rule. Apply super glue with a pin in tiny drops. Assemble and paint the whole pilot's compartment before you glue the halves of the fuselage together.
