The 1:48 B-24D Liberator nose interior photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard fills out the inside of the glazed nose of a model of the four-engine bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
A metal add-on to a plastic kit of the B-24D Liberator bomber in 1:48 scale, aimed according to its name at the interior of the forward fuselage. The forward compartment of the Liberator is glazed over a large part of its area, so it is visible on a finished model and crude plastic details there catch the eye. Photo-etched sheet solves that problem.
A full set, not a smaller Zoom
Alongside full photo-etched sets Eduard also offers smaller pre-painted sets of the Zoom line. This is a full set. Check the scope of the package and the number of parts on the box.
The Consolidated B-24D Liberator is an American four-engine bomber of the Second World War period with a high-mounted slender wing and twin fins. The glazed nose is among the most exposed places of the whole model to view.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel or photo-etch scissors on a hard surface; never break them out by twisting. Run the bends over the edge of a bending tool or over a razor blade, so that they are crisp and straight. They are bonded with super glue applied in a really small amount; on larger surfaces a two-part epoxy helps, as it gives time to seat the part. Degrease unpainted metal before painting and give it a coat of primer, otherwise the paint holds badly and peels off during handling.
The set is an add-on to a kit, not a stand-alone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
