A masking set from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the B-24D Liberator in 1:48 scale. These are pre-cut masks, not a kit. The TFace designation marks the version prepared for the inner side of the glazing as well. On a four-engine bomber that is a practical difference: there are many glazed areas and masking them by hand takes a whole evening.
The Consolidated B-24 Liberator is an American four-engine heavy bomber with a high-mounted wing of large, slender section and twin vertical tails. The D version is among the early production forms of the type. The aircraft has glazing at several places on the airframe, so the model has more frames to mask than a single-engine fighter.
Wash and degrease the glazing, lift the masks with tweezers and press them down with a toothpick once applied. On a large model, split the work into sections and check after each one that no corner has been left standing proud. Spray the paint in thin coats; undercoat the frames with the interior shade first and only then spray the exterior finish. Take the masks off shortly after the paint has dried.
The set is an accessory to a kit, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
