Eduard B6N Tenzan/Jill masks 1:48 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the Japanese B6N Tenzan torpedo bomber. It gives sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is meant for a plastic model of the Japanese Nakajima B6N Tenzan carrier torpedo bomber, which the Allies designated by the code name Jill. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without slow hand-cutting of tape.
The Nakajima B6N Tenzan is a Japanese carrier torpedo bomber from the second half of the Second World War and the successor to the earlier B5N type. It carried a multi-man crew under a long glazed canopy and was flown from the decks of aircraft carriers as well as from land bases. Because of its protracted development and the shortage of experienced crews, however, its combat potential was never fully realized.
Degrease the extensive glazing of the long canopy thoroughly. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them patiently on the individual panes, working systematically field by field. Fine-tune the corners and transitions with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin layers. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at an acute angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
