A resin, 3D-printed replacement exhaust nozzle including the air brakes for models of the BAe Hawk T.1 trainer in 1:48 scale, made by Reskit. The set replaces the plastic parts from the box with a more faithful rendering of the rear fuselage, the nozzle and the opening air brakes. It is not a standalone model. The set is made for Hobby Boss kits.
The BAe Hawk T.1 is a British subsonic trainer and light combat aircraft, well known among other things as the mount of the Red Arrows display team. The characteristic features of the rear end are the exhaust nozzle and the ventral air brake, and rendering them faithfully lifts the finished model considerably.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut the print supports away and line them up with the fuselage. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. The air brakes can be fitted in the closed or the open position. Paint the inside of the nozzle in metallic and heat-tinted shades and pick it out with pigments.
The set contains only the accessory parts. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
