A photo-etched add-on set in 1:48 scale for a model of the British Bristol Beaufort Mk. I torpedo bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Beaufort was a British twin-engine bomber with radial engines, intended above all for attacks on shipping. It carried both a torpedo and bombs and its crew numbered four, so the inside of the fuselage was considerably more complex than on a fighter. The Mk. I version is the original British configuration. It is precisely in the complex places, such as the cockpit, the gun turret or the landing gear bays, that photo-etch pays off most, because thin metal handles shapes for which molded plastic is too coarse.
Photo-etched parts in 1:48 scale for finishing a Beaufort Mk. I model. The set is an accessory; you cannot build a standalone model from it. The extent of the set, the list of parts and the kit it is tuned to are stated in the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate a part from the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface rather than with scissors, which ripple the metal. Make the bends in a bender or between two blades so that the edge comes out crisp and straight. Follow the scored lines along which the part is meant to bend. It is bonded with super glue applied in minute drops on the tip of a wire, because ordinary cement for plastic models does not hold on metal. Degrease the parts before painting and use a base intended for metal, otherwise the paint will come off while you handle them.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
