A fine 3D-printed resin detail set in 1:48 scale: a set of accurate gun barrels for the American Bell P-39 Airacobra fighter from the Czech maker Eduard. The thin, straight barrels with faithful muzzles replace soft or inaccurate plastic parts and raise the realism of the armament. This is an accessory to the corresponding plastic model, not a whole aircraft.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American single-seat fighter of the Second World War with an unconventional layout: the engine sat behind the pilot and it had a nose landing gear. The armament consisted of a powerful cannon firing through the propeller hub, complemented by machine guns. The large number of machines delivered to the Soviet Union proved themselves at low altitude. The barrels are a prominent visual feature on this type.
Separate the parts carefully from the thin 3D print supports and clean them up; protect your airways when sanding. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the barrels in a metal shade (steel or burnished metal) and pick out the wear gently; handle the fragile parts carefully so that they do not break.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
