An injection-molded plastic kit of the American fighter Bell P-400 Airacobra in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard. In the ProfiPACK edition the box contains colored photo-etched parts, self-adhesive painting masks and decals for several machines; the kit belongs to the popular ProfiPACK line.
The P-400 was the export version of the P-39 Airacobra fighter, originally ordered for Britain and taken over by the US Army Air Forces after the United States entered the war. A peculiarity of the type was the engine placed behind the pilot in the middle of the fuselage and a propeller driven by a long shaft. The machines served in the Pacific, among other places on Guadalcanal.
Finish the colored photo-etch and the detailed cockpit before the fuselage is closed up; mask the car-type doors with the masks supplied. Paint with an airbrush over a base coat, and a clear coat under the decals will improve their adhesion.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
