1:48 Bf-108 wheels spoked are resin wheels with a spoked rim for a model of the German touring and liaison aircraft in 1:48 scale from Eduard.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings wheels with a spoked rim for a Messerschmitt Bf 108 model in 1:48 scale. The English word spoked refers precisely to the rendition of the rim with visible spokes, which on this type appeared above all on the earlier machines. The resin castings are a replacement for the parts out of the box, so it is an accessory for the build, not a model of the aircraft as such.
The Bf 108, nicknamed the Taifun, was an all-metal four-seat low-wing monoplane of the 1930s. It came about as a sporting and touring machine and made its name for the combination of automatic leading-edge slats and landing flaps, thanks to which it could manage a short landing. The design solutions that the team around Willy Messerschmitt proved on it were then carried over into the more famous fighter of the same brand. During the war the Taifun served as a liaison and courier aircraft, and after it the type was built in France for a long time yet.
A spoked rim is a fine structure, so handle the castings carefully and cut the casting block off with a thin saw. Once washed and dry, apply a dark base that runs between the spokes, and only then the lighter shade of the rim with a dry brush. Mask the tire at the end. Before gluing them on, check that both wheels stand in the same plane: on a light aircraft any lean is conspicuous.
The base kit of the aircraft is not in the package and has to be obtained separately.
