1:48 Bf 109F engine and fuselage machine guns is a resin detail set from Eduard BRASSIN for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109F fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the BRASSIN line of the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains resin replicas of the powerplant and the fuselage machine guns for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109F in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but a more extensive upgrade accessory that makes it possible to open up the nose of a model and show a faithfully rendered engine and the weapons above it. Sets of this type are usually complemented by photo-etched parts.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109F, nicknamed Friedrich, was an aerodynamically cleaned-up development version of the German fighter powered by an inverted V12 Daimler-Benz engine. Above the engine, synchronized machine guns firing through the propeller disc were housed in the fuselage. The combination of a powerful engine and concentrated armament made the F version one of the best performing in the series.
Wash the castings free of mold release agent residue, cut away the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Do any sanding with respiratory protection. Paint the engine in metallic shades with the wiring and the fittings brought out, and finish the weapons in dark metal with a fine patina. For the full effect we recommend an opened-up nose.
This is an accessory resin set, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
