The set contains resin position (navigation) lights for 1:48 models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter in the F and G versions. This is not an airplane model but an aftermarket accessory from Quickboost (a line of the Aires brand). The crisply cast parts replace the less convincing plastic items from the box and let the colored wingtip lights be shown faithfully.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was the main German fighter of the Second World War. The Bf 109F (Friedrich) brought an aerodynamic refinement of the airframe, while the Bf 109G (Gustav) added a more powerful engine and became the most widely built variant. The position lights on the wingtips are among the small details that nevertheless stand out visually.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts and carefully cut off the casting blocks. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). You can get the effect of a glowing light by undercoating with silver and adding a translucent color; protect your airways while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without glue. The base kit and the paints are not included in the package.
