A set of masks in 1:48 scale for the control surfaces of the Fw 190 A-2, A-3 and A-4 fighter, tuned to the Eduard kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fw 190 was a German single-seat fighter that differed from the slender inline types at a glance: it was powered by a radial piston engine, so the nose was short and wide. The A-2, A-3 and A-4 versions are among the first series that reached combat units, and they differ from one another in small points of armament and equipment. The control surfaces and other moving surfaces had a construction of their own on the real aircraft, which is why on a model they are often painted separately from the surrounding skin.
Die-cut masks in 1:48 scale intended to cover the moving surfaces. The shapes are tuned to the Eduard kit, so they sit on the parts without slow trying and trimming. The extent of the sheet and the list of the individual masks are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Lift a mask off the sheet with the tip of a blade or with tweezers and apply it to the surface before spraying, never onto a dried coat. The base has to be clean, dry and degreased. Press the edges of the mask down carefully so that paint cannot get under them. Spray several thin coats; a heavy coat piles up at the edge of the mask and once it is lifted a step stays behind. Lift the mask as soon as possible after the paint becomes tacky, pulling at an angle downward and toward yourself.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
