Furball Aero-Design Boca Chica Bandits decals (1:48) is a decal set with the markings of American aggressor aircraft of fighter squadron VF-45.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of waterslide decals with markings, not a model. The set is devoted to the colorful aggressor aircraft of fighter squadron VF-45 from Naval Air Station Key West in Florida. The sheet brings national insignia, tactical numbers and striking disruptive camouflage schemes for several aircraft types that the squadron used for air combat training.
Fighter squadron VF-45 filled the aggressor role, that is the adversary against which crews practiced maneuvering air combat. Among other machines it operated light fighters and trainers in unusual finishes. The set offers schemes for types such as the A-4 Skyhawk, the F-5, the F-16N and early F/A-18 Hornets. The exact breakdown of the schemes is given in the instructions.
The decals are waterslide: the item is cut out, dipped in water, slid onto the painted surface and settled in place. They go on gloss varnish and are overcoated with matte varnish once dry. The paints and the kit are not included in the package.
