A decal sheet (water-slide decals) in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer DK Decals. It brings a wide choice of camouflage and marking schemes for the Bristol Beaufighter heavy fighter and torpedo bomber in the service of the RAF and of the Commonwealth air forces. The sheet contains national insignia, squadron code letters, serial numbers and personal markings for a number of particular machines. It is not a model or a kit - it serves to finish your own Beaufighter model.
The Bristol Beaufighter was a British twin-engined multi-role aircraft of the Second World War - it served as a radar-equipped night fighter and as a ground-attack and anti-shipping machine with rockets and torpedoes. For its quiet approach and its striking power the Japanese nicknamed it whispering death. Besides the RAF it was also used by units of Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Canada.
The decals are released in lukewarm water and settled onto the model. Even the area under the decal out with a gloss coat, which prevents a dried film. A decal softener helps them settle into engraved lines, and at the end the model is sealed with a matte or semi-gloss coat. The placement of the schemes is given in the enclosed instructions.
This is a decal sheet, not a model. The kit, paints and clear coat are not included in the package.
