A precise turned metal accessory for models in 1:48 scale fitted with the British Mk.2 Browning machine gun of .303 caliber (7.7 mm) with a flash hider. The package holds four turned brass barrels with finely rendered cooling jackets and a flash hider extension. It is not an aircraft model but a detail replacement part. This weapon served as fixed as well as defensive armament on British aircraft of the Second World War.
The metal barrels have a sharp muzzle with no parting seams, a clean bore and a faithful cooling jacket that plastic cannot achieve, and they are more resistant to damage. The detail of the armament, whether in the wing or in a defensive position, therefore gains markedly in realism.
Cut off the plastic barrel, drill a hole in the remaining part and glue the metal barrel in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The fitting is easy and quick.
This is an add-on detail set, not a complete kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
