A set of parts for the British RP-3 unguided rocket in the postwar rendition, printed by 3D printing technology. According to the name it is intended for the Hawker Tempest kits from Eduard in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The RP-3 is a British unguided aircraft rocket that fighter and ground-attack aircraft carried on racks under the wings. The figure in the designation refers to the dimension of three inches. The rockets were used during the Second World War and after it, and their rendition changed in the postwar years, which is precisely what this set focuses on. The carrier in this case is to be the Hawker Tempest, a British fighter aircraft with a long postwar service.
It is an accessory set in 1:48 scale, according to the name designed for the Tempest kits from Eduard. The parts are produced by 3D printing, which shows in the fineness of the small shapes that would be hard to achieve in the ordinary way. How many parts the package contains and exactly how they are mounted is given in the manufacturer's instructions, so read them through before you start gluing.
The printed parts are held on print supports. Cut them off with a sharp blade a little clear of the part, sand the remnant of the support off carefully with fine abrasive paper and check the surface against the light. Work over a tray or over a dish; small parts are easily lost. Before painting, wash and degrease the whole and let it dry, and only then apply the primer. Mount the rockets on both wing halves at the same distance from the fuselage, otherwise the unevenness will strike the eye on a finished model. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The package contains the printed parts of the set. The aircraft kit, the paints, the glue and the decals are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
