The Dynamo-Models figure carries the name Child Waving Flag, that is a child waving a flag, and is intended for 1:48 scale. Which flag it is the name does not determine - and for a modeler that is rather an advantage, because you choose the coloring according to the scene you set the figure into.
A child with a flag is a classic subject of scenes in which a column is passing through a town or a village and people come out into the streets. It works at the side of a road, on a low wall, on a platform and in front of the gate of a house. In a view with vehicles it creates a counterpoint: the machine is static and heavy, the figure in movement. It serves just as well in a celebratory scene without military vehicles, with nothing but civilian figures and a piece of street.
In 1:48 the flag is usually easier to paint than to apply as a decal - with a thin brush in layers, with a lighter stripe where the sun would shine through the cloth. To make it look like cloth and not like a board, gentle shading in the folds will help. Keep the child's skin light and with a soft transition of shadow, and merely suggest the eyes. The clothing can take a brighter color that adds an accent to the scene. Even the whole thing out at the end with matte varnish; only the flag itself can be left a little less matte. Adapt the preparation of the surface to the material of the particular casting.
