1:48 Consolidated B-24J Liberator cockpit and engines is a full Eduard photo-etched set concentrating on the cockpit and the engines of the four-engine bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
A full photo-etched set whose name precisely marks out its scope as the cockpit and the engines of the four-engine Consolidated B-24J Liberator bomber. An accessory for the interior and the engines; the airframe of the model is not included. For the same machine the brand also issues further separate sets for other parts of the aircraft.
The B-24 Liberator was an American heavy bomber with a high-set slender wing and a twin vertical tail. It was built in great numbers and used over Europe, in the Pacific and over the Atlantic, where in a patrol rendition it acted against submarines. The J version was among the most numerous and had, among other things, a nose turret. Four radial engines with turbochargers provided the power, which is also why the engine section can be meaningfully detailed on a model.
Assemble and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage, otherwise you will not reach it later. Glue the instrument panels and side walls in order from the most deeply set parts. With the engines, consider which of them you will leave exposed, because under closed cowlings the work will not show. Degrease the metal and lay down a primer, and only then paint. Hold small parts with the tip of a knife while cutting them off, so that they do not fly away.
The scope of the set is given by the name; the other parts of the airframe are covered by other items from the same brand.
