This is NOT an aircraft kit but a detail set of the SPACE line from the Czech maker Eduard for rendering the interior of the American B-24J Liberator heavy bomber in 1:48 scale. It combines relief colored 3D decals of the instrument and control panels with colored steel photo-etched parts. The set is meant for the Liberator kit from Revell/Monogram.
The 3D decals carry a raised colored relief of the main and the side instrument panels: protruding dials, switches and labels come out when seen from the side. Only the backing paper is wetted and the feature is lifted off with tweezers. The steel photo-etched parts round out the seat belts and other fine features. The set does away with laborious painting of the cockpit.
Clean and degrease the base. On a 3D decal wet only the backing paper (a damp sponge with a drop of dish soap), lift the feature off with tweezers and fix it with a PVA glue (white glue); Eduard does not recommend a super glue. Do not use a decal softener, Eduard forbids it: its chemistry will attack the printed resin and destroy the feature. Bend the photo-etched parts over an edge and glue them with a super glue; once dry the interior can be knocked back with a matte varnish.
This is an accessory to a kit, not a standalone model. The basic kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
