A resin set of figures of the crew of the famous Grumman F-14 Tomcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel. The airmen in the kit of American naval aviation will give a model of the Tomcat life, whether in a display case or in a scene on the deck of an aircraft carrier.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat, a twin-engine fighter with a variable-geometry wing, guarded American aircraft carriers from the 1970s. Its crew consists of two men, a pilot and a radar operator (RIO) sitting in tandem. Both wore the typical kit of naval aviation: flight suits, pressure vests, harnesses and helmets with visors. The crew of two is exactly what is characteristic of the Tomcat, and the figures recall it faithfully.
Wash the castings free of the mold release agent and cut the lugs off carefully; glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint with acrylic paints and a brush: the base tones of the flight suits, a wash into the folds of the kit and fine emphasis of the edges with drybrushing. The colored visors of the helmets can be imitated with gloss varnish and a drop of smoke or golden paint.
The figures are supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and the model of the aircraft are not included in the package.
