A figure of a Czechoslovak soldier in his 1938 form in 1:48 scale. It will complete aircraft as well as ground dioramas and give a scene a human scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure captures a Czechoslovak soldier in his form of 1938, that is from the time when the army held the border fortifications and when the general mobilization took place in September. It is a subject that appears rather rarely in modeling, and yet it belongs to scenes from the First Republic.
The 1:48 scale is home ground for a large part of aircraft kits and for a number of vehicles. An adult figure measures just under four centimeters in it, so the figure works above all as part of a whole: you stand it beside an aircraft, beside a vehicle or on a diorama base and the viewer knows at once how big the real subject is.
Cut excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder back with fine abrasive paper. Wash and degrease the figure before painting. With a figure this small it pays to work with stronger contrast than at the large scales: a lighter shade on the raised places, a darker one into the folds. The face you will manage with a few strokes of a thin brush. The assembly procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
It is for builders of dioramas and for owners of kits in 1:48 scale who feel the lack of a human figure beside a finished model. Paints, glue and a base are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
