This is a decal sheet, not a kit of an aircraft. The set in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Art Scale offers markings for Curtiss Kittyhawk Mk.IV fighters that flew with the Royal Australian Air Force in the Pacific in 1945. The sheet is meant to complete a plastic model of the Curtiss Kittyhawk of your own in this scale.
The sheet holds markings for several machines of the Australian squadrons that operated over New Guinea and Borneo, national insignia and individual codes included. The decals are the waterslide kind, carried over in lukewarm water onto a gloss surface and fixed with a decal softener. The real subject was the fighter and fighter-bomber version of the legendary Curtiss, which the Australians used in the closing stages of the war in the Pacific.
