1:48 Dassault SMB-2 Super Mystère is a bundle of Eduard Big Ed photo-etched accessories for a model of this French fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Big Ed is the way the Czech manufacturer Eduard groups several of its photo-etched sets for one aircraft into a single package. You therefore do not have to track the accessories down one by one. This item is aimed at a model of the French supersonic SMB-2 Super Mystère fighter-bomber in 1:48 scale. The aircraft model itself is not in the box; it is an accessory to a kit you have already bought.
The Super Mystère was the first production European aircraft to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. It came about at the end of the 1950s as the development culmination of the Mystère series, with a swept wing and an Atar turbojet. Besides the French Air Force it also served in Israeli colors, where it took part in the fighting of the 1960s and later went through a conversion with an American engine.
Degrease the photo-etched parts first, because neither paint nor glue holds on a greasy surface. Separate the parts on a hard surface with a sharp knife, not with scissors, so that they do not bend. Make the bends along the etched grooves, ideally in a bender or between two blades. Use thicker cyanoacrylate glue, which gives you time to align the part, and apply it in a tiny amount with a pin.
The package is an accessory to a kit from another manufacturer. It cannot be used on its own without one.
