1:48 de Havilland Chipmunk T.10 seatbelts STEEL is an Eduard photo-etched set of seat belts for a model of the trainer aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit.

A narrowly focused accessory: a sheet of photo-etched seat belts, buckles and hardware for the seats in the cockpit. The STEEL designation in the name is the manufacturer's marking for their range of belts. Photo-etched belts look completely different on a model from the plastic relief molded on a seat — they can be folded over the edge of the seat pan, left to drape freely over the side or thrown over the frame, so the cockpit immediately stops looking empty. It is not a model and not a whole interior set, but just the belts.
The DHC-1 Chipmunk is a single-engine low-wing trainer of Canadian origin, brought into service with the Royal Air Force under the designation T.10. The seats are arranged in tandem under one long glazed canopy, so both stations are visible when seen from above. On a trainer, where pupil and instructor took turns in the cockpit, the belts are among the most striking details of the interior.
Cut the parts out with a sharp knife on a hard surface, not with small pliers. Shape the belt first — metal holds its shape, so it can be folded over the edge of the seat pan or left to fall over the side, which shows most in the result. Make the bends in a bender or between two razor blades. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue applied with a pin; a drop from the bottle will flood the belt. Degrease the sheet and apply a primer before painting. The buckles stand out when you go over them gently with a dark wash after painting and lighten the edges with a dry brush.
This is an accessory set, not a model of an aircraft. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
