Quickboost Defiant Mk.I, resin undercarriage covers in 1:48 as a more faithful replacement for the parts of the British turret fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Quickboost is not a model of an aircraft but a set of resin undercarriage covers, with which you replace the plastic parts on a kit of the British Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I fighter in 1:48 scale. The castings are thinner and better shaped, so they fit better in the retracted as well as the extended position.
The Boulton Paul Defiant was a British fighter of the beginning of the Second World War whose armament consisted of a rotating gun turret behind the pilot; it had no fixed armament firing forward. A Rolls-Royce Merlin engine powered it, and the Mk.I version in the end found its use mainly as a night fighter.
Wash the castings in water with detergent to remove the mold release agent. Separate them from the casting blocks by cutting and attach them with cyanoacrylate; cement for plastic does not hold on resin. Try the fit in the undercarriage bay dry, and protect your airways for any sanding.
It is supplied as an unpainted set of resin parts. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
