This item is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a kit. It replaces the plastic parts of the landing gear with finer metal and photo-etched parts that capture the small structure of the gear legs, struts and lines better. The metal version also helps where the legs carry the weight of a larger model in 1:48 scale. The set is made up of metal and photo-etched parts.
The Su-35 is a Russian single-seat multi-role combat aircraft derived from the Su-27 family. It is powered by two jet engines, and the airframe and the equipment are markedly reworked compared with the older machines of the line. On this type the landing gear is one of the clearly visible items, because the model is most often built standing with the legs down and the bays open. That is exactly where the eye of a viewer at a display case goes.
First degrease the metal and photo-etched parts with spirit, otherwise paint will not hold on them. Bend the photo-etched sheet over a sharp edge or in a simple bending tool, and glue the small parts with slow-setting cyanoacrylate, which gives you time to position them exactly. Use a primer meant for metal before painting. It is practical to paint the gear legs and weather them lightly before fitting them into the model.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
