DH-82 Tiger Moth Venturi tubes 1:48 (Quickboost) are resin suction tubes that drove the on-board instruments, for models of the Tiger Moth biplane.
Responsibility details are not available.
Fine resin Venturi tubes for models of the de Havilland DH.82 Tiger Moth training biplane in 1:48 scale. These small suction tubes were mounted on the side of the fuselage and served to drive the vacuum on-board instruments. The casting captures their slender shape markedly more finely than injection-molded plastic.
Venturi tubes used the airflow in flight to create the suction for the gyroscopic instruments. On a model it is an unobtrusive but characteristic detail that will catch the eye of anyone who knows the type.
Separate the fragile parts from the casting block carefully, wash the mold release agent off and clean them up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Given how fine they are, we recommend working with tweezers and good lighting.
This is an accessory, not a kit. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
