Dornier Do 217 Exhausts 1:48 (Quickboost) is a resin aircraft accessory in 1:48 scale from Quickboost. It is not an airplane model but a detail part. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin exhausts for the German twin-engine Dornier Do 217 bomber in 1:48 scale. It is an aftermarket detail part with more faithfully rendered outlets, replacing the flat or blanked plastic exhausts from the base kit, not a model of the aircraft in its own right.
The Dornier Do 217 was a German twin-engine multi-purpose aircraft of the Second World War, used as a bomber and in reconnaissance, anti-shipping and night fighter roles. Depending on the version it was powered either by BMW 801 radial engines or by inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 603 engines, so the exhaust stacks differed in shape from one variant to another.
Resin parts need more care than plastic: first wash them to remove mold release residue, carefully separate them from the casting block and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding and cutting small parts. Apply a primer before painting. The exhausts come into their own once painted in dark metallic and rusty shades with the edges lightly picked out; dry-fit the stacks to check their angle before gluing.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
