About product

A Quickboost air intake for the Grumman E-2C Hawkeye (1:48)

A resin detail accessory of the Quickboost brand from the maker Aires in 1:48 scale. The set replaces the air intake with a more faithfully shaped resin part. It is not a model of the aircraft but a stand-alone accessory raising the fidelity of a finished build.

The real subject

The Grumman E-2C Hawkeye is an American carrier-based airborne early warning and control aircraft, recognizable by the large rotodome above the fuselage. It is powered by two turboprop engines, whose air intakes are on the engine nacelles under the wing.

Building and painting tips

Wash the part free of mold release agent, cut off the casting block and glue with super glue. Make sure before gluing that it seats exactly on the engine nacelle.

Who it is for

  • For modelers building the E-2C Hawkeye in 1:48 scale.
  • For those after faithful air intakes with no reworking of plastic.
  • The kit of the aircraft itself is not included in the package.
