This is a set of brass photo-etched parts for detailing the wing fold mechanism of the Grumman EA-6B Prowler carrier aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a plastic kit.
The set brings photo-etched parts for the wing fold area of the Grumman EA-6B Prowler model in 1:48 scale: stiffeners, covers and details of the wing break that make it possible to show the wings folded as the machine was stowed on the deck of an aircraft carrier. It adds depth to this section that plastic cannot convey.
The Grumman EA-6B Prowler was an American carrier electronic warfare aircraft derived from the A-6 Intruder. As a carrier machine it had folding wings for more economical stowage in the hangar of an aircraft carrier. It served for many decades with the US Navy and Marine Corps.
Separate the parts carefully with a sharp knife or with photo-etch scissors, make the bends along the engraved lines, ideally in a bending tool, and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or with epoxy. Degrease the surface before painting; photo-etched parts hold paint better once a primer has been sprayed on.
This is a separate set of photo-etched parts, an accessory, not an aircraft model. The plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
