The Panzerhaubitze 2000 is a German tracked self-propelled howitzer of 155 mm caliber with a barrel 52 calibers long. It entered the armament of the Bundeswehr at the end of the 1990s and replaced older self-propelled systems. Its characteristic features are automated loading, a high rate of fire and the ability to change firing position quickly. Besides Germany a number of other armed forces have taken it into service, which makes it one of the most widespread Western artillery systems of its category. The particular range, weight and other technical parameters differ between individual versions and types of ammunition.
Finish and paint the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull up. Glue the long barrel home and let it dry in a horizontal position so that it does not warp. On the plastic use a thin glue that wicks into the seam, and sand the joints once dry. A modern German vehicle is most often built in three-tone camouflage, which at a small scale pays to spray with an airbrush with soft transitions. Once dry, apply a gloss varnish under the decals, then a dark wash into the engraved lines, fine dry brushing of the edges and dust pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
