A decal sheet in 1:48 scale devoted to the Finnish fighter pilot Eino Luukkanen. The third part of a decal line on Finnish fighter aces of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
Eino Luukkanen was a Finnish fighter pilot and one of the most successful airmen of the Finnish Air Force in the Second World War. He went through both of Finland's wartime campaigns, flew several types of fighter and later commanded a fighter unit. The Finnish Air Force fought with a small number of machines, often of foreign origin, so its aircraft carry unusual combinations of shapes, finishes and markings that do not blend in among models of fighters.
This is the third part of a line devoted to Finnish fighter aces. The sheet in 1:48 scale brings the markings of machines connected with this pilot. How many options are drawn out on the sheet, which particular aircraft they belong to and which kit they are intended for is stated by the manufacturer in the enclosed instructions; check the placement of the individual elements against them as well.
The decals are applied by soaking. Cut the element out close to the printing, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it starts to move on its backing. Prepare a smooth gloss surface under the decal, because on a matte layer the edge of the film will silver. Blot the excess water away with a towel, and a decal softener will help it settle on a broken-up surface. Once dry, spray the model with a final varnish, which hides the edges of the film.
The package holds decals. The model, paints, varnish and decal softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
