Replacement position and navigation lights for a model of the F-104 Starfighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. They replace the coarser shapes from the base kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-104 Starfighter is an American supersonic aircraft with a very short, thin straight wing, a slender fuselage and tail surfaces arranged in a T. It is precisely the thin wing with its sharp edges that causes trouble on a model: the parts come out thicker here than the scale would call for, and it tells most on the small items at the wingtips and on the fuselage. Besides the United States the aircraft served with a number of European and Asian users.
Replacement parts for the position and navigation lights of a model in 1:48 scale. They are fitted in place of the parts from the kit and have a finer shape than injection-molded plastic allows. The extent of the set, the exact placing of the parts and the kit the set is cut for are given in the manufacturer's instructions, so check the match with your model in advance.
The parts are not of polystyrene, and ordinary cement for plastic models has no effect on them; use cyanoacrylate glue applied on the point of a needle. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the blade does not touch the shape itself. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. In painting, knowing the aviation convention helps: the position light at the left wingtip tends to be red and the one at the right green. Stick small parts to a stick with double-sided tape while you work, or they will end up on the floor.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
