This 3D-printed set from Eduard is not a stand-alone model but a detail accessory. It replaces the engine exhaust nozzle on a 1:48 model of the F-104A/C Starfighter jet fighter with a faithfully rendered printed part that has an inner petal structure and the correct shape of the nozzle tip.
The exhaust nozzle is a prominent feature of the rear end of the aircraft and in plastic it often comes out coarse or simplified inside. The printed replacement adds depth and fine detail that, once painted in metallic shades with heat staining, brings the rear of the model to life.
Carefully separate the part from the print supports and clean it up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). For a realistic look use metallic paints, a dark wash in the recesses and subtle hints of heat discoloration around the nozzle mouth.
This is an accessory set, not an airplane model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
