TFace is the extended variant of the masking sets from the Czech manufacturer Eduard: it holds self-adhesive masks in kabuki tape for the outer and the inner side of the glazing. The canopy frames of an F-104G model in 1:48 scale can therefore be sprayed cleanly on both sides, which anyone planning to display a model with the cockpit open will appreciate, as the inner side of the canopy is clearly visible there. It is not a kit but an accessory for painting.
The Lockheed F-104G Starfighter was a single-engine supersonic aircraft with a characteristic thin wing and a long slender fuselage. The G version served from the 1960s as the standard fighter and fighter-bomber type of a number of European NATO air forces.
Apply the inner masks before the canopy is glued to the fuselage and spray them in the interior shade; use the outer masks during the final painting of the camouflage. Always press the edges down firmly so that the paint does not run underneath, and lift the masks with tweezers at a shallow angle. Degrease the clear parts beforehand, which improves adhesion.
This is an accessory: a kit of the aircraft is not included in the package. Please check compatibility with your own kit.
