F-104G/J ADVANCED kabuki masks, 1:48 scale

A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks made of kabuki (washi) paper, intended for models of the supersonic fighter F-104 Starfighter in the G and J versions in 1:48 scale. The ADVANCED edition is an extended set which, besides the frames of the cockpit glazing, usually also covers the landing gear wheels and further surfaces with a sharp color transition. It is not a kit but a masking accessory that makes painting a model easier.

Use

• Lift the masks carefully off the sheet, place them on a clean, degreased surface and press them down for perfect adhesion.
• Kabuki paper is supple, follows the curves of the glazing and leaves a sharp edge after spraying.
• Apply the paint in thin coats (ideally with an airbrush) so that it cannot creep under the edge of the mask.
• Peel the masks off gently once the paint is dry; they leave no adhesive residue behind.

For modelers who want clean canopy framing and accurate color transitions without lengthy cutting of masks from tape. Suitable for more advanced builds thanks to the scope of the ADVANCED edition.
