1:32 Douglas A-20J/K Havoc / Boston Mk.IV is an Eduard masking set for painting the glazing of a model of the American attack aircraft in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set is an aid for painting: it covers the glazing of the model, so that the frames come out after spraying with a straight, crisp edge. The name does not contain the TFace designation, which Eduard uses for variants that allow for the other side of the glazing as well. The manufacturer is the Czech brand Eduard.
The Douglas A-20 was a twin-engine attack and bomber aircraft that proved itself at low altitude and as a night fighter too. The A-20J and A-20K versions differed from the attack renditions in having a glazed nose for the bombardier and flew at the head of formations, for which they set the moment of bomb release. In British and Allied squadrons the type was known under the name Boston.
First work out the order of the shades on the model. The cockpit frame is usually leveled with the interior color first and only then does the top camouflage come in turn. Take the masks off while the finish is freshly dry, so that the edge does not break off with a layer of paint. Remove any remaining fibers of dust from the surface with a soft brush, not with a cloth. In a large scale the cockpit frame is so prominent that its clean run decides the overall impression of the finished work.
