This resin kit in 1:700 scale captures the American battleship USS Delaware (BB-28), the lead ship of her class, in her form of around 1914. It is a resin kit intended for experienced modelers.
USS Delaware was the first ship of the Delaware class of dreadnoughts. She carried a main armament of ten guns of 305 mm (twelve inches) and reached a speed of around twenty-one knots. She belonged to the early generation of American dreadnoughts; in the 1920s she was stricken as a result of the Washington Naval Treaty. The model captures the early form of the ship with tall masts.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand them down with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The model can be built with the full hull or as a waterline model on a stand. Photo-etched railings, aerials from stretched sprue, an airbrush and fine washes to bring out the deck and the superstructure are recommended.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
