This set of color 3D interior decals on decal paper from the Kelik brand is intended for the F-104J kit from Kinetic in 1:48 scale. It reproduces the instrument panel, the side consoles and other cockpit features with modeled relief and finished printing, so the cockpit gains depth and convincing dials without laborious painting.
It replaces hand painting of the instruments as well as paper dry transfers. The resulting cockpit looks convincing even under a closed clear canopy and saves time during the build.
The procedure is like that for ordinary decals: after soaking, the part is lifted off the backing and transferred to a cleaned and ideally varnished surface. The thicker 3D decals take a softener only in small amounts; a sharp scalpel and tweezers are useful.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit; the model itself and the paints are not included in the package.
