A decal sheet for a model of the CH-47D Chinook transport helicopter in its early form, 1:35 scale, intended for the Trumpeter kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The CH-47 Chinook is an American heavy transport helicopter with two main rotors arranged one behind the other, and therefore with no tail rotor. The CH-47D version came out of an upgrade of older machines and became the main transport variant for many years. The qualifier in the name points to the early form of this version, which differs from later machines in details of equipment and markings.
Decals for a model in 1:35 scale, prepared for the kit from Trumpeter. The sheet carries the markings and lettering with which the finished model is completed; the exact breakdown of the options is in the instructions enclosed with the sheet.
Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version; a soaked self-adhesive film is ruined, whereas an unsoaked waterslide decal can be soaked later. With the usual waterslide sheet proceed like this: cut the decal out with its margin, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it starts to release from the backing. It is applied to a glossy and degreased surface, because on matte clear coat air stays under the film and the edge turns white. Fine-tune the seating with decal softener, which pulls the decal down into the panel lines, and finally coat it with clear.
The model, paints, clear coat and decal softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
