This item is a pack of accessory sets, not an aircraft kit. The Big Ed range from the Czech maker Eduard brings several otherwise separately sold photo-etched sets and a masking set for one particular model together into one box. The pack is cut for the base F-104S version. Separate packs of the same range exist for the upgraded ASA and ASA-M standards, so check which version of the aircraft you are building before buying - the sets differ in detail and are not interchangeable. The particular make-up and the number of parts are stated on the box.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter is a single-engine supersonic aircraft with a short trapezoidal wing with a very sharp leading edge and with the horizontal tail surface set at the top of the fin. The F-104S version came about as the Italian license-built variant reworked to carry medium-range guided missiles; against the earlier versions it received a matching radar and further changes to the airframe. Given the small dimensions of the wing, the model in 1:48 scale is fairly slim and fine photo-etched detail comes out well on it.
Cut the photo-etched parts off with a scalpel on a hard surface; never snap them off. Make the bends over a straight edge or in a bending tool, and anneal larger areas briefly before forming so that the metal does not spring back. Degrease the metal and lay down a primer for metal. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue in small drops applied on the tip of a wire. Finish the interior, the instrument panel and the seat belts before you close the fuselage up. Stick the masks on clean glazing, spray the paint in thin coats and pull the mask off shortly after it has dried, at a shallow angle.
These are accessory sets, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
