A demanding detail set for refining the cockpit of the F-14A Tomcat fighter in 1:48 scale. The set from the maker Aires combines precisely cast resin parts with photo-etch and replaces the simplified plastic cockpit from the base kit. It is not an aircraft model but a separate accessory for advanced modelers.
The resin castings bring the crisp rendering of the instrument panels, the side consoles, the ejection seats and the cockpit walls that injection-molded plastic cannot capture. The photo-etched parts add fine levers, straps and details. The result is a faithful two-seat Tomcat cockpit with a markedly higher level of detail.
This is a resin detail set, not an aircraft model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
