The real subject

The F-14 Tomcat was an American two-seat carrier fighter with variable-geometry wings. The F-14A version was the first production variant fielded by the US Navy. The large sliding canopy over the tandem cockpit, with its pronounced framing, is among the most demanding parts of the build.

How to use the masks

• Transfer the numbered parts to the outside and the inside of the glazing following the diagram.
• Lift the mask off its backing, lay it in place and press the edges down carefully.
• Cover the rest of the glass with tape and spray in thin coats.
• Peel the masks off shortly after spraying for crisp edges.
