A resin 3D-printed detail set for experienced modelers. It is NOT a stand-alone model but an accessory that replaces the exhaust nozzles (the engine tail ends) of the Grumman F-14A Tomcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. The set captures the nozzles in the OPEN position - the way they look on an aircraft standing with its engines shut down - and faithfully reproduces the inner and outer structure of the nozzles, which a plastic kit simplifies.
Open nozzles markedly raise the realism of the rear end of a model. Reskit prepared them as an accurate replacement for the parts of the base plastic F-14 kit; the set is tuned for the corresponding boxing in 1:48, so check compatibility.
Separate the parts from the supports, wash off any print resin residue and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand and clean up with your airways protected. Apply primer before painting; metallic shades and the soot staining of the nozzles are best handled with an airbrush.
This is a resin detail set, not a model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
