Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set of seat belts in 1:48 scale for the F-14A Tomcat aircraft from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a kit but a narrowly focused accessory that deals with a single, yet very conspicuous detail of an open cockpit. The designation STEEL in the name refers to the steel execution of the belts, which can be shaped into a convincingly draping form and holds it. Plastic or decal belts come across as flat beside them.
The Grumman F-14A Tomcat was a two-seat carrier fighter of the US Navy with a variable-geometry wing. The crew consisted of the pilot and the weapon systems officer, both on ejection seats, so the restraint system is among the prominent elements of the interior on this type. The A version was the most numerous and served from the 1970s for several decades.
Separate the belts with a sharp knife on a cutting mat and fold them over a rounded tool, so that they have a natural sag. It helps the credibility to leave one belt thrown over the edge of the seat. Degrease the metal before painting and use a primer. Finish the cockpit and seat the belts last, so that they are not distorted during the further work. Choose tweezers with fine points.
