F-14A/B Tomcat boarding steps (1:48, Quickboost) is a resin accessory that replaces the simplified retractable fuselage steps for models of the Grumman F-14A and F-14B.

This is NOT an airplane model but a set of finely cast resin parts of the Quickboost brand in 1:48 scale. It replaces the coarsely shaped plastic retractable steps on the side of the fuselage and gives a model of the Grumman F-14A and F-14B Tomcat a more faithful detail around the cockpit.
The retractable boarding steps were recessed into the side of the forward fuselage of the Tomcat and the crew used them when climbing into the cockpit. On a model they tend to be simplified in plastic, yet it is a conspicuous detail, clearly visible on the finished piece.
Wash the parts free of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and level the surfaces. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); do the sanding with respiratory protection. The small steps can be brought out in a shade different from the surrounding area.
Supplied as an unpainted resin accessory. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
